John Buttz, owner of Southern Iowa Mechanical, began his career in 1993 in Millerton, Iowa, while still in high school, gaining valuable hands-on experience in plumbing, HVAC, electrical, and mechanical work. After graduation, John honed his skills at Atcheson Plumbing in Kansas, later advancing his expertise at Cook Plumbing in West Des Moines for 21 years. There, he climbed the ranks to manage large projects and oversee a team of 75, while earning his Journeyman and Master licenses through ABC of Iowa. John returned to Corydon in 2013, starting Southern Iowa Plumbing from his home. Under his leadership, the company has grown to 8 employees and offers comprehensive plumbing, HVAC, septic, and mechanical services for both residential and commercial clients.
